Binance has revamped its Binance Points programme to allow eligible users to earn rewards through a broader range of platform activities, including Convert, Spot, Futures, Earn, deposits, and account holdings. The updated system integrates these areas, enabling users to complete tasks on daily, weekly, and monthly cycles that reward consistency or balance retention alongside regular trading. Tarik Erk, Head of Binance MENAT and Senior Executive Officer for Abu Dhabi, stated the initiative aims to make the user experience more intuitive and relevant by consolidating engagement into one place.
Existing points earned before April 28, 2026, will automatically transfer to the new system at a 1:1 rate without requiring user action. Tasks are being rolled out in batches and may be personalized based on activity, account status, and region. Binance describes this as the first phase, with plans to add more eligible activities over time. Users can access their available tasks via the Rewards Hub on the Binance app or website.
The revamp signals a strategic shift from siloed product incentives to a unified loyalty ecosystem, aiming to increase user stickiness across diverse trading and holding behaviors. By integrating spot, futures, and earn products into a single points framework, Binance seeks to deepen engagement beyond simple transaction volume, rewarding consistent presence and asset retention within the platform.
From an Operational Risk and Market Structure perspective, the phased rollout and personalization of tasks introduce complexity regarding transparency and uniformity of access. While the automatic migration of legacy points mitigates immediate friction, the reliance on algorithmic task assignment based on region and account status requires clear communication to maintain user trust. The expansion of eligible activities suggests a long-term effort to lock in liquidity and user attention across all verticals of the exchange.
