Erigon began as a fork of Go Ethereum towards the goal of a new Go execution client with more speed and disk efficiency. Now, Erigon provides a fast Ethereum implementation with an emphasis on the efficiency frontier. Erigon 3 runs as a Full Node by default, with optional archive mode and minimal pruning configurations for validators.
